The cemetery in IK is located on a prominent hill north of the townsite and NW of the high school Zespol Szkol im. Jana Kasprowicza Liceum. Our long term strategy is to partnership with local individuals and groups to construct fencing, and to clean up the weeds and bushes on the grounds. In addition, pending funding, we are planning a steel fence around the boulder / commemorative plaque which was erected in 2019.

A longer term goal is to honour the life and memory of every family lost during holocaust by erecting a long brick wall with arches sponsoriong Jewish family names.

Although the Jews buried in this cemetery remain thankfully undisturbed, their burial locations have not been identified. Our long term goal is to name those buried here based on genealogical research in the records. 

Another hope is that we will be able to recover more Matzevot removed from the cemetery.
